Moneco is a fintech that sells international banking access to Africans, initially in Francophone Africa. Moneco provides EUR and USD accounts domiciled in Europe and US respectively to freelancers, entrepreneurs, and travelers who are restricted by local banking systems. The app enables customers to hold foreign currency and pay globally using physical or virtual Visa cards.
Moneco makes money from transaction fees and recurring fees. Moneco charges users to top up their accounts and collects a monthly subscription fee for maintaining active cards. Moneco also captures profit margins on currency exchange spreads when customers convert funds or make cross-border payments.
